Independent Contractors / Owner Operators
Pacific Shipping Owner Operators are on dedicated routes averaging 3,200 miles per week with at least one and a half days per week of home time. We do not keep our Owner Operators out for two to three weeks at a time. By employing this operating philosophy we believe we have created a safer and more family friendly environment.
Driver Qualifications
- 2 years recent verifiable over the road, tractor-trailer experience
- At least 25 years of age
- Good MVR and driving history
- Good work history
- Outgoing personality
- Ability to pass D.O.T. drug screen and physical
- Ability to pass and receive a TWIC card. (Transportation Worker Identification Card)
- Ability to operate PeopleNet electronic logs and dispatch system software
- No DUI/DWI in last 5 years
- No HAZMAT required
Equipment requirements
- 2008 or newer tractor with sleeper
- Pass a company D.O.T. annual inspection
- Air-ride required
- Sliding 5th wheel
